Who is
Julien Lüssem?
I search for problems, not solutions
I am different

My passion is to bring delight and joy to our community, building the best possible solution for real-world customer problems. Throughout my career, I have worked on various projects ranging from mobile applications to complex enterprise software solutions – Dive deeper and explore more.
10+ years of experience
After a gap year making internships 4 months each, in 3 product design and marketing agencies, I found my passion and decided to continue my journey in digital product creation and studied web development and design to acquire both technical and creative skills.

0%Sep. 2015 - Dec. 2016 Co-Founder | Soon Corp.
Two co-founders and me built an event & lifestyle service (app + website) while still at university, allowing users to create, manage and share local events in bars or clubs. After acquiring +10k users and collecting $500k in seed investment Facebook launched "events" and our user base was gone over night.
Sep. 2016 - Dec. 2016 Product Lead | Teametic GmbH
Supporting the Teametic team to redefine their UX and customer journey, we started with extensive user research and interviews, to understand user needs and pain points in the current application. The analysis gave us a clear directions and we restructured the apps side map, user flow and reprioritized the feature set. The company was sold successfully to the biggest competitor in Germany.
Jan. 2017 - Aug. 2017 Co-Founder | Evy Gbr.
With the same team from Soon Corp. we saw an opportunity to launch a commercial stylist and make-up service, me being responsible for the user research and design. After developing a beta version and starting user interviews + testing we quickly realised that we had a chicken and egg problem: low customer demand led to low stylist engagement not offering their services.
After 2 years as an entrepreneur I embarked on a journey in the corporate world, working for a diverse range of clients and industries, allowing me to be part of something bigger. Improving my leadership, problem-solving, people and strategic skills.

0%Aug. 2017 - Oct. 2021 Accenture Song | Team Lead
Spending over 4 years at Accenture as a Design Team Lead or PM mainly in the finance and public industry across Europe in diverse project setups was a valuable experience. Starting at market and user research, to concept and development, to launch and beyond, working in teams of 60+ people in long term projects (1-3 years) taught me a lot and improved my management, teamwork and analytical thinking skills.
Nov. 2021 - Today Oliver Wyman | Senior Lead - Experience Strategist
Concentrating on what I love most, building digital products from 0-1 in small agile teams of 4 to 10 people allows me to work in the early stage of product development, using design thinking and co-creation techniques to craft compelling business ideas, identify target customers & markets, define value & design propositions, build customer journeys, create compelling MVP designs and setting up fly-weels into additional high-margin opportunities.
I help you to define, ideate and build your idea into reality
Design
Thinking
Human-centered approach to problem-solving that puts empathy at the forefront. It helps me to understand user needs and perspectives, ideating and prototyping solutions, and testing and refining them based on user feedback.
Agile
Methodology
Iterative and collaborative approach to project management that emphasizes flexibility and rapid adaptation to changes. Breaking down a project into smaller, more manageable pieces and continuously testing and improving them.
Continuous
Improvement
Encourage teams to continuously evaluate and improve their processes, products, and services. Setting goals, tracking metrics, gathering feedback, and making data-driven decisions. To enable product managers and designers to iterate on their products, identify areas for improvement, and stay competitive in the market.
Lean Startup
Methodology
Fail fast – Building minimum viable products (MVPs) quickly and testing them with real users to gather feedback and iterate to validate ideas and reduce waste.
Jobs-to-
be-Done
Understand underlying motivations and goals that drive user behaviors. Identify the „job“ that users are trying to accomplish and design solutions that help them do it more effectively.
User-Centered
Design
User needs and goals are the center of my design process. Understanding problems and behaviors through research, creating user personas, empathy maps, scenarios and user journeys, testing and refining my design based on user feedback.
Tools
Over the span of my career, I always needed to adapt to new tools based on client requirements. But the best ones stuck…
