// Project Overview

Challenge yourself against the best

The peer-to-peer sports platform was designed with an athletic and sportive user group in mind. By providing access to 65 different sports activities, the app offered a diverse range of options to meet the individual interests and preferences of each user. Users could create profiles, browse and join activities or get personalized recommendations based on their fitness level and communicate with other users, fostering connections and building a community around shared interests. The platform’s purpose was to unite people through sports, providing a supportive environment where users can find motivation, inspiration, and guidance in achieving their goals. The company was successfully sold to the biggest competitor in Germany.

// Challenges

Breaking old habits
+ Quality assurance

  1. Resistance to change – Sports activity groups have formed within social circles and established structures that have been in place for a long time. These groups are hard to disrupt even if the changes are intended to make their activities more engaging or enjoyable.

  2. Quality assurance – To ensure that the user-created events meet certain quality standards like safety, proper organization and adherence to rules and regulations we established clear guidelines and procedures to build trust between users and our platform. After noticing that this wasn’t enough Teametic provided training and support to power users to give guidance and ensure they meet our standards. After my help as a UX Designer doing user interviews and focus groups, we established a feedback mechanism that allowed users to rate events and provided feedback to help improve the overall quality of the platform.
